Elnora "Nora" Victoria Covington was the wife of Thomas H. Stephens who died 1922 and was buried Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis. She was the daughter of Thomas Gwen Covington and Matilda Caroline Payne. Nora's parents were married 26 August 1852 in Christian County, KY, and then moved to Trigg County, KY, before final settlement at Mayfield, Graves County, Kentucky.

Thomas and Nora Stephens after marriage migrated to Wingo, Graves County, KY, where most of their children were born. The family migrated to Fulton, KY, prior to final home 1920 at Memphis, Shelby Co., TN. They had a total of nine children.
