Mrs. Augustin J. Maloney - Watertown - Mrs. Cecilia (Hoyt) Maloney, 84, of Laguna Hills, Calif., formerly of Watertown, died Friday at Saddleback Community Hospital in California. She was the widow of Augustin J. Maloney. Mrs. Maloney was born in Derby, Aug. 27, 1903, daughter of the late Ira Ford and Jane (Larkin) Hoyt, and resided in California for the past nine years after moving from Watertown. She attended Derby schools and the College of St. Elizabeth in New Jersey. She was employed at Waterbury Hospital Health Center for 11 years before retiring at age 70. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Jane) Fraser of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Robert (Ellen) Torrence of Thomaston, 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. from the Hickcox-Mitchell Funeral Home, 195 Main St., to St. John the Evangelist Church for a Mass at 9. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Waterbury. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
