                         DEATHS
Arnold—
John Richard Arnold, 87, of Reserve, died at 10:15 o'clock Wednesday morning, September 16, 1959, at the Sam Snider nursing home in Hiawatha where he had been living since February. Mr. Arnold took ill Tuesday. Mr. Arnold was born March 7, 1872, in Brown county where he had lived all of his life. He was a son of the late William and Druscilla Arnold. He had farmed around Reserve all of his life. Mr. Arnold is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ted Snodgrass of Hiawatha; four sons, Otis M. Arnold of Reserve; Leslie Arnold of Omaha, Clerin Arnold and A. D. Arnold, both of Tacoma, Wash., three sisters, Mrs. Lulu Runyan, Henriette, Okla., Mrs. Anna Kearney, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. Felica Sommers, Lincoln, Nebr., 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sons, Basil, Aaron and Lloyd Arnold, and a daughter, Mrs. Violet Blockberger.
    Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Chaney-Hodgens-Sharrer funeral home in Falls City. Burial in the Mt. Zion cemetery, with the Rev. J. O. Doane officiating.
