JOHN F. CAIN DIES AT ADVANCED AGE 72 YEARS
John F. Cain, for many years flagman at the Moulton Street crossing of the L & N Railroad, a gallant Confederate soldier and a highly respected citizen, died last night at his residence, 1422 Fourth Avenue, South at the age of 72 years. The remains will leave the house tomorrow afternoon at 4 o’clock, arriving at Chestnut Grove at 5 o’clock where the funeral services will be held. Interment will follow there.
The deceased is survived by his wife and the following ten children: J. T. Cain, S. A. Cain, J. H. Cain and Mrs. D. E. Malone, all of Paris, Tex.; G. D. Cain of Livingstone, Montana; Mrs. Henry Price of Holdenville, Okla.; Mrs. Lee Dendy, of Austinville; Mrs. L. L. McCants, of Rockford Texas; Mrs. Mary Nix, of Austinville; Chas. N. Cain of New Decatur.
C. J. Cain, of Paris, Texas, a brother of the deceased is here to attend the obsequies.
