Actor. Born in London, the son of Emily Clementina Brown and actor Herbert Standing, Senior. He and three of his brothers, made their way to Hollywood where he landed a contract with the Victor Film Company, making his film debut in the silent short, 'His Wife's Child' (1913). More shorts and features followed, including 'Life Without Soul (1915), 'Every Mother's Son (1918), 'Bonds of Love' (1919), 'The Final Problem' (1923), and 'The Desert Sheik' (1924). Throughout his career he billed himself alternately as Darrell Standing, P.D. Standing, Percy D. Standing, Percy Darrell Standing, and Percy G. Standing. After the transition to sound, his career lasted only three pictures, including the feature 'Flame of Love' with Anna May Wong.
