Eunice Paxton, 76, of Richmond passed peacefully Friday, August 10, 2018 at Arbor Trace Family First Senior Living, Richmond.
On July 20, 1942, Eunice was born in Lee County, Kentucky to Siggle and Letha Lawson Spencer and attended area schools in Richmond, Indiana including Richmond High School, where she later earned her General Education Diploma. Eunice was a licensed cosmetologist for several years in both Richmond, Indiana and Florida. Eunice loved being outside, especially relaxing on the beach but her real passion was traveling. She loved going coast to coast and even explored Japan and Portugal. Eunice was a very personable woman and always remembered intimate details about her family and friends. In her leisure time, Eunice found peace in listening to Elvis and watching red birds. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Richmond, Indiana.

Eunice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Lori L. Leamon and Steve of Whittier, North Carolina; her sister: Gladys Sinks of Richmond; her grandchildren: Shannon Rock and her husband, Shane; Mark Leamon and his wife, Laura; Kristoffer Leamon and his wife, Megan; Noah Leamon; Kamren Leamon; Logan Leamon; her aunt: Versie McIntosh of Beattyville; her best friend: Cora Sue King of Richmond; several loving nieces and nephews including, Tammy Flora and Trisha Bear.

Eunice is preceded in death by her parents, Siggle Spencer and Letha Kaiser Alvey; her husband, J. Kirk Paxton.

Funeral services for Eunice will be conducted at 12 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, College Corner, Ohio. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery, West College Corner, Indiana. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, Help Fight RA 8815 Conroy Windermere Rd.
