Helen Marie Brady, 76, of Hallsville, passed away at her home on September 11, 2018.

She was born on October 4, 1941, to Russell and Frances (McKenzie) Riggs in Boone County. Helen graduated from Hallsville High School in 1959. On March 11, 1965 she wed Harold (Shorty) Brady.

She worked at Shelter Insurance for 49 years. Helen was active in the Hallsville United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed her flowers. She truly loved her family especially her four nieces and her 3 great nieces, and 5 great nephews.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Shorty.

Helen is survived by her sisters, Charlotte Milster and husband Johnny of Montgomery City, MO and Phyllis Hise and her husband David of Bosque Farms, New Mexico; one aunt: Dorothy McKenzie of Columbia, MO; four nieces: Dena Fuentes and husband Leroy, Kena North and husband Tim, Erica Brumagin and husband Matt, Laura Yelton and husband Mike, three great nieces: Sidney Brumagin, Sarah Brumagin, and Addison North; five great nephews: Blake Yelton, Kyle Yelton, Luke Yelton, Chase Yelton, and Ayden North; and also several cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Parker-Millard Funeral Service 12 E. Ash, Columbia, MO 65203, which will be immediately followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Glendale Memorial Cemetery in Centralia.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the Hallsville United Methodist Church or the Hallsville Historical Society.
