AYOTTE, Bethany J. (Betty) - Of Flint, age 79, died Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM, Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Avenue in Flint. Father Robert F. Copeland officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or Arthritis Foundation. Visitation 2-4PM and 6-8PM Sunday, 11-2PM and 4-8PM Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Scripture service will be held at 7PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Ayotte will be at the church from 10:30AM Tuesday until the time of the Mass. Bethany (Betty) was born in Afton, Michigan on February 21, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jessie (Haggerman) Crawford. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Bethany enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and enjoyed cooking. Surviving are daughters, Paula M. Ayotte, Lois A. Jones both of Flint, Jean E. and husband Randy Pence of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, April L. and husband David Scrimger of Lapeer, Bret A. Pence of Swartz Creek and Joshua J. Jones of Flint; loving sister, Mabel Daley of Port Huron; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Marion and Walfred Jurvelin of Mt. Morris and Minerva Dinnan of Clio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleland J. Ayotte in 1976; parents; brother and sisters, Martin Crawford (Sanford), Florence Root (Cheboygan), Katherine Defrain (Port Huron).
