James Frederick Payne, 91, of Cedar Pointe in Stuart, Florida, formerly of Warners, NY passed away at his home Saturday, September 23, 2017. He was born in Lakeville, NY, August 13, 1926, and attended Livonia Central High School and Oswego College. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Pacific Theater. He married Marjorie (Midge) Vosler Payne on January 24, 1953. Midge passed away on September 18, 2008. James was President of Parko Equipment Co. in Warners, NY, established in 1965. James sold the business in 1997 and retired to Stuart, Florida in 1998. He served on the board of directors at Cedar Pointe, Stuart, Florida. He was also a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church as well as the VFW Post #1494 and the American Legion Post #0062.. James is survived by his sons, James Robert Payne (Michelle) of Syracuse, NY and Mitchell Forest Payne (Judith) of Warners, NY; his daughter-in-law, Deborah Payne of Baldwinsville, NY. His son Dale predeceased him on November 20, 2004 at age 44. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jason Michale Payne and Jesse Dalton Payne of Syracuse, NY and Donovan Frederick Payne of Baldwinsville, NY. Services are private for the family. James will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Warners, NY.
