LAVENE COOK
Lavene Cook, a retired cabinet maker from Northeast Portland, died Sunday in a Portland hospital. He was 69.
A native of Portland, Mr. Cook had been a cabinet maker at Sullivan's Cabinet Shop for 35 years until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of Millman's Local 1120.
He is survived by his wife Esther K.; daughter, MonaLee Ness of Wemme; brother Ralph Cook of Portland; sister Mary Krieger of Portland; and one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral will be at 10 am Wednesday at Ross Hollywood Chapel, followed by burial in Rose City Cemetery.
