Charles "Ed" Tilley, 73, of St. Albans, formerly of Princeton WV; left this life to be with the Lord on December 19, 2012.

Ed was born on September 19, 1939 to the late Joseph Daniel Tilley (1887-Deceased) and Hazel Blankenship-Tilley (1902-Deceased) as the youngest of twelve children. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Lynn Tilley-DeBoard (1958-2011); and siblings, Cebert Veron Tilley (1920-1989), Pansy M. Tilley-Eller (1921-2006), Joseph Tilley (Deceased), Robert Tilley (Deceased), Odean Tilley (Deceased), Myrtle Tilley-Mincey (Deceased), James Franklin Tilley (1929-2003), Opal "Jean" Tilley-Morehead (1933-2005), and Alice Faye Tilley-Runion (1937-Deceased).

He was a devoted husband to his teenage sweetheart Gail Tilley for nearly 55 years. Also left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Cindy Tilley-Williams & husband Mark Williams; son, Curtis Tilley & wife Gayle Tilley; son-in-law, Rick DeBoard; ten granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-grandson; a sister, Rachel "Sue" Tilley-Diegel and brothers, Roy "Delano" Tilley (1938-2018) and Lloyd W. Tilley.

Ed was a faithful member, active deacon, Sunday school and children's teacher at Lower Falls Baptist Church in St. Albans. Ed served for many years across the country as a volunteer missionary and interim pastor with the North American Mission Board. Ed is also fondly remembered for his unique youth ministry known as "Mr. Ed's Fun Box." Ed also lovingly served the Lord through his fellowship and witness to others.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton WV.
