Terrance (Terry) O. Rush (76), passed away Dec. 17, 2018, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center surrounded by his wife and family. He was born on Jan. 24, 1942 in Lansing, Leavenworth County, KS to Ned Rush and Josephine (Sherley)Rush.
Terry was a lifelong resident of Leavenworth County. He married the love of his life, Karen Sue Linaweaver on Jan. 23, 1960. After 58 years of marriage, Sue survives at the home. He is also survived by Tony (Barbara) Rush, Basehor, KS; Robin Bromell (Tony Brown), Lansing, KS; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley Baragary and Loretta (Jim) Murphy; and brothers Robert Rush and Ed (Sharon) Rush. He is proceded in death by a son Randy Rush in 1963, his parents, three sisters, and one brother.
Terry enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bird watching, fishing, sports, and playing slot machines at the casino with his wife. He was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 55 and Operator's Union 101. He worked for Jim Kidwell Excavating for 25 years.
The visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at Leintz Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be at 10 o'clock a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018 at Leintz Funeral Home with Father Bill McEvoy officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetary. Arrangements entrusted at Leintz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Lansing High School Scholarship Fund.

Pall Bearers were: Cody Rush, Mitch Hopkins, Jeff Conklin, Paul Bromell, grandsons, Chris Fink, Mark Linaweaver, nephews.
