Eugene “Punk” Geren, 92, of Georgetown, TN passed away on February 7, 2019.

He was born on June 6, 1926 to the late Jim and Velma Geren.

Punk was born in Cleveland, TN and he was a Bus Driver in Dayton, Ohio and Atlanta, GA. He won numerous awards in their Bus Rodeos which he trained drivers. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping. Punk also won a car on “The Price is Right.” He was an active member at Prospect Church of God and he was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Jacqueline Geren; daughter Patricia West; siblings: Cephus Geren, Tootsie Cartwright, Fred Geren, Ed Geren, Ted Geren, Dude Geren, and Jimmie Geren; great grandsons Jacob and Joshua Hicks.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory three daughters: Linda Martin (Edwin), Becky Cooper, and Vickie Thompson; sister Barbara Tucker; grandchildren: Enloe West (Melgena), Kimberly Cox, Samantha Hicks, and Dr. Matt Graham (Ashley); great grandchildren: Staff SGT Tyler Franklin, Kylie Franklin, Chase Hicks, Sloane Graham, Vera Graham, Violet Graham, Ethan West, and Emma West; great great grandchildren: Kylie Grace Franklin and Georgia Lynn Franklin. In addition to these, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home on Saturday February 9, 2019. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday February 10, 2019 at Prospect Church of God located 2220 Harrison Pike Cleveland, TN 37311. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Cemetery.
