Roger Lee Zumwalt, 59, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 12:49 AM Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.

Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2019 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Mr. Rodger Lane will officiate.

Friends and family are invited to Roger's Life Celebration at a visitation following his funeral services from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM Friday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Roger was born February 13, 1960, in Hannibal, MO to Homer Edward Zumwalt, Sr. and Tempie Elaine Webber Zumwalt.

Roger was married to Penny Lorraine Hedgpeth on December 17, 1987 in Hannibal, MO. She survives.

He was previously married to Martha White and they remained lifelong friends. She survives.

Other survivors include his mother, Elaine Zumwalt of Hannibal, MO, 8 children, Jordan Zumwalt (Brittany),Brad Thomure, Brent Thomure (Shannon), Joshua Harold Hedgpeth (Crystal Johnston), Jerehmiah "Micko" Hedgpeth, Stephanie Walden (Jeff), Susan Thompson (Kevin), Stacey Mahsman (Randy), 1 sister, Amy Davis (Dennis), 6 brothers, Homer Edward Zumwalt, Jr. (Penny), Matt Zumwalt, Daniel Zumwalt (Lisa), Stoney Zumwalt (Phyllis), Ray Zumwalt (Darlene), Wayne Zumwalt (Rhonda), 19 grandchildren, Jerehmiah, Jayken, Ryken, Remington, Oakleigh, Dalton, Bradley, Dylan, B.J., Blake, Jennifer, Brandon, Phillip, Matt, Jeff, Victoria, Jordy, Shelby and Jared. Roger is also survived by his great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, 3 sisters, Diane Zumwalt, Rachel Ard, Lois Adams and 1 brother, Leroy Zumwalt.

Professionally Roger was a carpenter.

Roger was a "River Rat" and loved fishing on the Mississippi River. His camp was his paradise. Roger also enjoyed tinkering in the garage, mushroom hunting and watching the news.

He was baptized at Southside Christian Church and he had been attending Cornerstone Baptist Church.
