Benjamin G. (Ben) Gauthier, age 80, of Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning, September 9, 1997, at Two Rivers Community Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 12, 1997, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. David Arndt with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

He was born August 15, 1917, in the town of Two Rivers, son of the late Richard and Ella Oestrich Gauthier. He married the former Ruth Krause on September 21, 1946, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Ben was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing for 21 years. Ben and his wife, Ruth owned and operated the Park Lunch in Two Rivers from 1965 until 1981 when the couple retired. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Two Rivers.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Gauthier, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Dawn Gauthier, Elko, Nev.; one grandson and his wife Christopher and Candyce Gauthier, Milwaukee; one step-grandson, Jason DeGroot, Elko, Nev.; one special daughter-in-law, Jeanne Gauthier, Manitowoc, one brother and sister-in-law, Ivan and Alice Gauthier, Two Rivers; one sister-in-law, Lettie; one special niece, Pearl Roell, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. at the church until the time of service at 11 a.m.
