Sharon Ann (Louderback) Bonell, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Washington following an extended illness.

Sharon was born on Aug. 15, 1938, in Hoquiam, Wash. to Samuel R. and Lucille E. (Runyon) Louderback. She was the youngest of fourteen children, 5 boys and 9 girls.

Sharon was raised in Hoquiam and graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1956. While in school she was a song queen and that allowed her to show her spirit and passion for the Hoquiam Grizzlies. She was a die-hard Hoquiam sports fan all of her life. It was in Hoquiam High School where she met the man with whom she shared the rest of her life, Ernest Lawrence Bonell.

Sharon and Ernie married on August 18, 1956 at the Saron Lutheran Church in Hoquiam, Washington. Their marriage was blessed by the birth of four sons. Larry Wayne, Scott Edward, Bradly Ernest, and Ronald Richard.

As their family grew, Sharon and Ernie enjoyed many road trips, spending time at their summer home at Lake Nahwatzel, and watching the sporting events of their children and grandchildren.

Sharon had a love for sports and enjoyed watching baseball, basketball and football games. You could always find her rooting and supporting her children and grandchildren as they played.

As much as she enjoyed sports, nothing compared to her love of spending time with her family. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother as well as an incredible cook and gifted gardener.

She was a delightful hostess whether at home or at the lake house. Her potato salad was legendary.

Sharon and Ernie's greatest heartbreak was the tragic death of their son, Scott Edward Bonell on August 17, 1985 at only 23 years of age.

At the time of Sharon's passing Sharon and Ernie had been married for over 58 years.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Ernest of the family home; three sons, Larry (Becky) of Portland, Oregon; Brad (Stacey) and Ron (Juli) all of Hoquiam, Washington; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Trevor, Corey, Skyler, Ashley, Brianne, Katelyn and Jordyn; four great-grandchildren, Joseph, Maycee, Kenzi and Kaileah; a brother, Junior Louderback; a sister Nancy; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Her enormous and very beautiful blue eyes, huge smile, endless stories, and sense of humor will be remembered forever by those who knew her.

A celebration of her life with a potluck following was held on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at the First Baptist Church, 721 Eklund Avenue in Hoquiam.

Funeral arrangements were by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam.

She is now resting in peace beside her son Scott in Sunset Memorial Park, Hoquiam, Washington.
