Mrs. B. B. Barfield Dead

Mrs. Julia Whittington Barfield, after an illness of several days died at her home in the southeastern part of the county last Monday. Her remains were interred in Bethlehem cemetery Tuesday afternoon, the ceremony performed by Rev. Home Emerson.

Mrs. Barfield was married to Mr. B. B. about twenty-five years ago, and was somewhere near fifty five years of age at the time of her death.

She was a woman of very fine mind, refined in manners and was loved and respected by her many acquaintances. She was a good neighbor and her home bounded in hospitality.

She leaves besides her husband two daughters Mrs. Leona Watson and Miss Lucy Bell and one sister, Miss Ann Whittington to mourn their loss. The Herald extends sympathy to each one of the bereaved ones.

We take this method of expressing our heartfelt thanks to our neighbors and friends who so willingly and patiently administered unto us and to the needs of our wife, mother and sister during her recent sickness and death. May the Heavenly Father bless each and everyone is our prayer.
