According to the 1900 federal census record of South Bend, Indiana, taken June 1st and 2nd , 1900, Konstanty Lewinski, an iron moulder, and his wife, Wladyslawa/Lottie, were born in Poland, had immigrated circa 1880, had been married 11 years, and she had had nine children of whom six were living. In addition to their children, his parents were living with them. Address of 1900 census: 1203 Thomas St. South Bend, IN.
By the time the 1910 census was taken, Wladyslawa had had thirteen children of whom eight were living. Their known children included, in birth order: Leonard, Hedwige/Hattie, Adolph, Edward, Sophia, Leokadya (1900 census indicates a age on Jun 1/2, 1900 of 2 months), Joseph, Theresa, Albin, and Clara.

Death certificate for Mary Magdalena Lewinska (Lewinski) of 1203 W. Thomas South Bend Indiana of which her father, Constantine Lewinski was the informant indicates Mary was a white female, father: "K. Lewinski", mother "Wladyslawa" Kluszczynski.

1900 census indicates that a daughter, Leokadya age 2/12, census indicates a date of birth of April 1900. Mary's date of birth from her birth certificate indicates a 16 Jun 1900 birth, which would be after the census was taken June 1/2, 1900.
