David “Dave” Jon Chandler, 64, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, September 9, 2019 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Funeral Services 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Church of Christ, Bemidji with Elder Michael Locke officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Nary Cemetery.
David Jon Chandler was born July 13, 1955 in Bemidji, MN to Howard and Bunny (Kelley) Chandler. He attended Nary Elementary School and graduated from Bemidji High School. Dave went to work in the automotive industry. On September 1, 1979 he married Marie Tibbetts in Bagley, MN. They resided in Bemidji and together they had 2 children. In 1990 he went into a partnership in the autoglass industry and remained in the industry until 2018. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling, riding snowmobile, maple syruping and an occasional game of Solitare.
He is survived by his son, Jon Chandler of Bemidji; daughter, Allison Chandler of Anchorage, AK; granddaughter, Hattie Chandler of Bemidji and grandson, Isaac Chandler of Bemidji; brother, Dennis (Kathleen) Chandler of Vermillion, SD and sister, Mary Jane Chandler of Laporte, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Bunny Chandler; brother, Michael Chandler and daughter-in-law, Katie Chandler.
