Helen is my mother-in-law, she was married to Walter Carey Pieffer,(deceased). She lived in Philadelphia, PA and is survived by her children Son Walter, Daughters, Anna Simpson, Helen Dancanich,Ruth Straiton & Patricia McElhone, 11 grand childdren & numerous Great grand children.
Helen was only about 5 foot tall and a 100 pounds on a good day, but she took nothing from no one, she loved her Maxwell House coffee & Chesterfield cigarettes.
Her son tells a story that when he was about 15 he & his buddies, were mixing it up on the corner, she offered any one of them 5 bucks if the could knock him out, one at a time and she stood at the back gate making sure only one came in at a time. She certainly was fiesty.
When shed died it hit my husband hard, as well as his sisters. She was one of a kind and is truly missed.
