Military***

William enlisted 29 Sep 1861 in Lexington, Kentucky to fight for the Union in the Civil War. He mustered in as a Private, C Company, 24th Infantry Regiment.


He did not survive the war, dying of disease on 07 Sep 1862, and was interned the following day.
