Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Elva Coborn, 2808 Seventh avenue, Rock Island, who died at 6 o'clock yesterday morning in St. Anthony's hospital after 2-week illness, will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Bethel church, First Assembly of God, Rock Island.
The Rev. Ralph E. Price, pastor will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Larson funeral home, Milan, is in charge of arrangements, but due to improvements being made to that establishment, the body will be at the Hodgson funeral home, Rock Island. Friends may call at the Hodgson funeral home until tomorrow noon when the body will be taken to Bethel church. Friends may call there until time of the services.
Mrs. Coborn was born Dec. 1, 1904, on a farm near Aledo, a daughter of the late Edwin S. and Eva McCaw Granger. She resided there until she was 11 years old when she moved to Viola with her parents. She was graduated from Viola high school in 1922 and was married to Leslie Coborn, March 16, 1923. The couple had resided in Rock Island since their marriage.
Mrs. Coborn was a member of Bethel church First Assembly of God, and of the missionary council of the church.
Surviving are the widower; three sons, Virgil L. Cobon, Rock Island, the Rev. Gerald D. Coborn, Pontiac, and Keith H. Coborn, Moline; three grandchildren; four brothers, Fred W. Granger, Rock Island, Rodney Granger, Woodhull, Vern G. Granger, Moline, and two sisters, Mrs. Everett Sparks and Mrs. Raymond Scranton, both of Moline.
Her parents and four brothers preceded her in death.
