Dolores Jean Hess 76, of Bretz passed away Thursday June 28, 2018 at Pine Ridge, Kingwood.
She was born November 2, 1941 in Morgantown a daughter of the late George William and Wanita Agnes (Ayersman) Smith.
Dolores was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She married into and was surrounded by her family of musicians that provided her great joy.
She is survived by: four sons Robert Jr. of Kingwood, William (Debbie) of Morgantown, Roger (Brenda) of Morgantown and James of Bretz; two daughters Gloria (Darrell) Stevenson of Tunnelton and Karen Smith of Independence; seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Dennis Smith (Brenda); three sisters; Shirley "Sis" Hess, Rosie Leon, and Dixie Metheny.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Lee Hess in 2017; a son Steven; two grandsons Darrell Jr. and Justin Stevenson; brothers Donald, George, and Robert; and sister Ada Chipps.
