Born in the Madison Community, he was the son of the late Paul John and Minnie Lee Murphy. Buster was retired from Norfolk Southern where he worked as a Track Repairman, he was a member of the Westminster Masonic Lodge, a Hejaz Shriner, and of the Christian Faith.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Murphy is survived by a son, Mark Murphy (Cindy) of Westminster; daughter, Paula Bryant (Bennett) of Atlanta; sister, Genevieve Murphy (Hoke) of Toccoa; four grandchildren, Jessica Baumgarner, Max Murphy, Caroline Bryant, Cooper Bryant; two great-grandchildren, Emily Kelly and Morgan Kelly.
In addition to his parents, Albert is preceded in death by brothers, Lester Bert Murphy, Mack Murphy, Cleo Murphy, John Clayton Murphy, and Marvin Leon Murphy; sisters, Annie Bell Davis, Lizzie Mae Grant, Eula Simmons, Minnie Lee Adams, and Pauline Phillips.
Burial at Heritage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
