She was born in Steuben, March 19, 1859, a daughter of the late Daniel E. Griffith and Catherine Jones Griffith, pioneer settlers of Steuben.
She attended schools at Holland Patent and in 1878 she was married to Thomas W. Thomas at Floyd.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas conducted farms in and near Western until Mr. Thomas's death in 1925, when Mrs. Thomas came to this village and has since lived here. She was a member of Westernville Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are four sons, Davis S. Thomas, Holland Patent; Danforth R. Thomas, Rome; Wyllys H. Thomas, Westernville; and J. Gordon Thomas, Floyd; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Interment will be made in Westernville Cemetery. Rome Daily Sentinel, Monday Evening, April 28, 1941
