A.G. Stone, 60, eighth grade American History teacher at Greenville Junior High School, died Wednesday at Citizens General Hospital of a sudden illness. He lived at Rt. 1, Celeste.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Owens Chapel in Wolfe City with Rev. Gary Kincaid and Rev. Roy Littrell officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland.

Mr. Stone was born August 9, 1916 in Whiterock to Arthur H. and Geneva Shanks Stone. He was married to Billie Francis Rogers on June 24, 1966. He was a member of the White Rock Methodist Church. Mr. Stone taught in the Greenville schools for several years.

Survivors are his wife; a sister, Maxine Clift of Viola, Wisc.; a nephew, Charles D. Stone of Riesel; a niece, Linda Seng of Cuba City, Wisc.; a stepdaughter, Brenda Bell and two step grandchildren, April and Bill Bowes of Greenville, and an uncle, Leon Stone of Fort Worth.
