Allard D. Partain, 73, of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, May 8, 1999, in St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born on Nov. 29, 1925, in Rogers, son of the late Joseph and Eva (Cogdill) Partain.

He was a foreman for Ford Motor Co. and served in the Navy during World War II. He moved to Rogers 13 years ago from Saline, Mich., and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors included his wife, the former Marian Goodrich. They were married on Oct. 29, 1949, in Angola, Ind. Also surviving are his son Allen Joseph Partain of Prattville, Mich.; daughters Michelle Partain of Whitmore Lake, Mich., and Karla Berger of Saline, Ark.; brother Harold Partain of Joliet; sisters Blanche Williams of Carmi, Laverne Wallace of Tecumsech, Mich., and Josie Hicks of Harrisburg; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Burns Funeral Home-Rogers with Dr. Gibbie McMillian officiating. Visitation was Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral. Cremation followed the service.
