A rosary will be recited at Oak Memorial Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Friday
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 12:45 p.m. Saturday when it be taken to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for services at 1 p.m. The Rev. Joe Leyva will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Mrs. Alaniz was born at Concrete Oct. 29, 1919, daughter of Luis Lopez and Manuela Perez.
Surviving are a son, Candalario Alaniz Jr. of Cuero, four daughters Mrs. Mary Helen Mejias, Mrs. Phyllis Anazaldua and Mrs. Gloria Barbontin of Cuero and Mrs. Annie Marie Flores of Houston. Six brothers, David, Alex, Augustine, Leroy and Joe Lopez of Cuero and Luis Lopez of Beaumont, two sisters, Miss Frances Lopez of Cuero and Mrs. Elvira Torrez of Yoakum and 15 grandchildren.
