He was baptized on Nov 12, 1671 at Immaculée Conception Parish in Trois-Rivières, Mauricie Region, Quebec, Canada, his godparents being Dominique Jotra-dit-Rosiers and Charlotte Etienne. He married Jeanne Angelique Cartier on Jun 19, 1707 at the Basilique Notre-Dame in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. They had one daughter, Angelique Etienne, born in 1708.
He died at the age of thirty-five, after receiving the sacraments of the church, and was buried on May 1, 1708.
