Mrs. Betty Mullins Guyton, age 66 years, 1 month, died Wednesday night at the family residence, 815 Pearl River avenue, after a prolonged illness. She was the wife of W. W. Guyton and was a well known resident of East McComb.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from Pearl River Avenue Methodist church, of which Mrs. Guyton was a member. The Rev. A. S. Oliver, pastor, will conduct the rites, assisted by the Rev. W. A. Gill, pastor of East McComb Baptist church. Interment will be in Hollywood cemetery. Catchings funeral home was in charge.

Mrs. Guyton was born March 10, 1813 [sic 1873], at Tilton, Lawrence county. In 1893 she was married to Harry R. Badon of Sartinsboro and five children were born to this union. Mr. Badon was killed in 1902, and in 1904, she was married to W. W. Guyton. To this marriage four children were born.

The Guyton family moved from Sartinsville to McComb in 1928.

Mrs. Guyton is survived by her husband, W. W. Guyton; four sons, R. D. Badon of Drumright, Okla.; H. R. Badon of Konowa, Okla.; Ramsey Guyton and Wood Guyton, McComb; five daughters, Mrs. F. W. McGuffee, Mrs. J. J. O'Brien and Mrs. Hulon Clark of McComb; Mrs. William Pickett of McCalls and Mrs. O. B. Curtis of Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. Walter Ball of Columbia, Mrs. William Ball of Eudora, Ark., and Mrs. Sam Carney of Tilton; two brothers, Johnnie Mullins and G. W. Mullins of Tilton; seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
