Jimmie Joyce (Bowling) Broadbent, 83, retired cook from Dustin Public Schools and resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma passed from this life to her eternal reward peacefully on Friday, October 23rd, 2020 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Jimmie was born October 5th, 1937 in rural McClain County Oklahoma to Georgia(Meriman) and James W. Bowling. She attended Blanchard Public Schools in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

On July 2nd, 1955, she married the love of her life, Jimmy Odell Broadbent, Sr. They initially made their home in Blanchard and lived in several different places during her husband's military service, including Korea. Eventually their family settled in Dustin, Oklahoma, where they owned a small business and reared their children. Jimmie worked for Hopkins Oil where she was widely known as (005) "that is double ought five" before working for Dustin Schools where she worked in the cafeteria. After her retirement, she and her husband moved to Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Jimmie enjoyed life. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a faithful Christian. She had many hobbies: gardening, sewing, cooking, playing Yahtzee (Big Jim said she cheated) and Farkle, fishing and, most importantly, enjoying time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a fabulous sense of humor and a shining smile. She liked to stay busy and enjoy her time outside in the sunshine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmy, he daughter Martha (Beth) Rainville, two sisters: Rena Rider and Matty Flowers and two brothers: Jack (Red) Bowling and Cratis Bowlling.

Jimmie is survived by her children: Georgiana Spearman of Enid, Oklahoma, Pamely Harper and husband Clifton of Mangum, Oklahoma, Jimmy (Bo) Broadbent Jr. and wife Susan of Henryetta, Oklahoma, and Tracie Grall and husband Josh of Bentonville, Arkansas; brother, George Bowling, and sisters, Sue Bowling Mayfield and Judy Bowling, 8 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

She left a monumental legacy and was a fine example of what a woman, wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, and friend should be. She will be greatly missed by her large family, friends and all who knew her.
