She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was a former Fruit of the Loom employee, she had a custodial service, and raised chickens commercially until a fire destroyed the operation.
Doris loved flowers, crocheting, sewing, she was an artist and wrote poems of which two were published.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Bloyd Beams in 2007, a step-son: William Bloyd, Jr., a brother: Finis Gowen, two sisters: Carolyn Dickens and Charlotte Crowe and a granddaughter: Jill Rainwater.
She is survived by a son and three daughters: Ernest Clifton Price and wife Penny, Wanda Jane Hall and husband Melvin, Sherri Rainwater and husband Johnnie and Pamela Colvin and husband Donald, all of Campbellsville; fourteen grandchildren: Regina, Angela, Scott, Amamda, Brian, Jr., Tammi, Timmy, Tommy, Jemima, Shelly, Justin, John Jr and Julie and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Doris Lorraine Beams will be Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Beams Cemetery #1.
Elder Rueal Boils will be officiating.
Family requests visitation after 11:00 A.M. Thursday until time for the service.
