Finis Roe Gowen died at his home on Route 3, June 5, 1981. A native of Taylor
County, he was born October 26, 1926, son of the late Evelyn Mary Irvin and
Eunic Gowen. Survivors include three sisters, Doris Beams and Carolyn Carter,
both of Campbellsville, and Charlotte Crowe, of Louisville. Funeral services
were conducted at the Martin Tabernacle, Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m. by Elder
Herbert Martin and Elder Rueal Boils. Burial was in the Martin Tabernacle Church
Cemetery. The Lyon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers: Jim
