She was born on Dec. 7, 1940, the fifth child of Henry and Josephine Bouchee. She attended schools in Livingston, Montana and graduated from Park County High School in 1958.
She attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana for a time and then moved to San Diego, California to stay with her sister, Gertrude and further her education. While there, she met her future husband, Roger Schamaun. They were married there in 1961 and moved with Roger’s job to New Mexico.
The couple was blessed with two daughters, Coene and Tamara.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leon, Jim and Henry; sisters, Gertrude and Lois (Ray) Kooren.
Surviving her, in addition to her husband, Roger and daughters, Coene and Tammy (Ric) Hinkley; is a brother, Larry (Pam) of Bullhead City, Arizona and sister, Barbara (Les) Williams of Livingston; along with several nieces and nephews.
A family service was held in Los Alamos with a memorial to be held at a later date.
