Josephine G. Bouchee, 82, of 230 South G Street (106 South I Street) and a longtime resident of Livingston, died at the Livingston Convalescent Center early Friday morning, July 28, 1989, after a long illness.

Mrs. Bouchee was born Sept. 12, 1906, at East Moline, Ill., to Pitt and Gertrude Hochstrasser. She attended elementary school in Illinois before moving to Billings at age 13. She attended Fratt Memorial School and Billings Senior High School where she graduated in 1926.

After graduation, she moved to Livingston and worked at the Grabow Hotel and Nick's Candy Kitchen. There, she met Henry N. Bouchee whom she later married on Sept. 17, 1927.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include the sons, James S. Bouchee of Billings, Henry and his wife, Pat, Bouchee of Kankakee, Ill., and Lawrence and his wife, Alice Ann, Bouchee of Livingston; four daughters, Gertrude M. Bouchee of Chula Vista, Calif., Mrs. Raymond (Lois) Kooren of Helena, Mrs. Roger (Anita) Schamaun of Los Alamos, N.M., and Mrs. Lester (Barbara) Williams of Livingston.

Other survivors include one brother, Lewis Hochstrasser of North Hollywood, Calif., 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 17, 1977, one son, leon in 1982 and a brother, Leon, in 1969.
