Georgianne Mae "Tootie" Peterson, 79, of Sycamore and Mountain Home, Arkansas died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center in DeKalb. She was born April 18, 1928 in Sycamore the daughter of Christopher and Rose (Freihamer) Bauer. She married Arthur "Bud" Peterson on June 14, 1947 in Sycamore. She was a member of The Church of Saint Mary in Sycamore, Sycamore VFW Auxiliary, and the Women of the Elks in Mountain Home. She enjoyed line dancing and quilting.

She is survived by four daughters, Kristine Crane of Sycamore, Karleen (Rick) Olson of Elgin, Kathryn (Dale) Ireton of Sycamore, Margaret Kay (Bryan) Fredrick of Holland, Michigan; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Cyril Bauer of Golden, Missouri; one sister, Margery Minor of Wheaton; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Rote of Sycamore, Lucille Sherer of DeKalb, and Mary Bauer of Sycamore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2001; four brothers, Lee Bauer, Robert Bauer, Ray Bauer, Denis Bauer; and one sister, Betty Roselieb.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at The Church of Saint Mary, 244 Waterman St., Sycamore with The Reverend Frank John Timar, MSC celebrating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Sycamore. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home with a wake service at 7:30 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for DeKalb County Hospice in care of Quiram-Sycamore Funeral Home, 1245 Somonauk St., Sycamore, IL 60178.
