Myrtle was born on August 15, 1930 and was a homemaker all her adult life. Myrtle married Russell Potter on December 20, 1954 and he preceded her in death as did sons Ed Ennis, Larry Ennis, David Ennis and Tom Ennis, daughter Becky Ennis and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Leo (Jenny) Ennis of Galesburg and Keith "Pete" (Kathy) Ennis of Mer Rouge, La as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her grandson Tommy Ennis was especially helpful to her in her later years.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Knoxville. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral services on Wednesday. Burial will follow services at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville. Rev Gary Bryan will officiate. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory of Knoxville has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be donated to the family. Due to the new COVID-19 Mask Mandate, the funeral home will maintain compliance and ask that guests wear a mask.
