Curtis was born in Kings Mountain, NC on July 7, 1932. He was a 24 year veteran of the US Marine Corp and US Navy. He served his country in the Korean War. He retired from active duty in 1974.
He is survived by his wife Shirley, three sons Curtis, Jr. and spouse Carolyn of Gainesville, FL, Scott and spouse Stephanie of Cape Coral, FL, and Chris and spouse Tina of Atlanta, GA, one daughter Danita and spouse Pat of Atlanta, GA. Four grandchildren Caden, Alana, Jessica, and Corey. One great-grandson Adam, two great-grand daughters Jayden and Brooklynn. He is also survived by two brothers Jack Wright of Jessup, GA, and Clayton Wright of Gaffney, SC, two sisters Madge Early and Annette Cooper of Kings Mountain, NC.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey and his parents Kossie and Lilly Wright.
