Ruth C. (Young) Keffer, 93, Blair Christian Home, Duncansville, formerly of Puzzletown, died Wednesday at Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born in Duncansville, daughter of the late James and Mary C. (Smith) Young. She married Martin E. Keffer. He died in 1953. Mrs. Keffer was a Duncansville School graduate. She worked as a nurse at the Atlantic City Children's Hospital, then as a receptionist for a doctor's office in Riverdale, Md. She was a member of Newry Lutheran Church and the Duncansville Grange. She enjoyed sewing, doing needlework and church activities. Ruth is survived by a son, Robert C.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Evans; and all 14 of her brothers and sisters: Ethel Hainley, William I., Bertha J. Clapper, Cora Olive, Ralph, Beatrice M., Agnue, Helen Albright, Dorothy C., Hector, Maude, Luther, Paul C. and Margarie Walters.
