Mrs. Ethel P. Hanley, 74, of 1223 5th Ave., Duncansville, died at 8 p.m. yesterday in the Altoona Hospital where she was admitted at 6:10 p.m. suffering from head injuries received in a fall down the cellar steps of her home.

The injured woman was found by her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Slippey of Lakemont.

She was born July 24, 1888, in Duncansville, a daughter of James and Mary (Smith) Young, and married Wilmer D. Hanley, who died Sept. 29, 1959. Surviving are the daughter, one grandchild, one great-grandchild and 10 brothers and sisters, William I., Hector C., Miss Maud E. Luther and Paul, all of Duncansville, Mrs. Cora Olive of Oak Grove, Va., Agnew F. of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Helen Albright of Roaring Spring, Mrs. Ruth Keffer and Mrs. Marjorie Walters of York.

Mrs. Hanley was a member of the Duncansville Lutheran Church, Krider Missionary Society and Golden Age Club in Duncansville.

Friends will be received at the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, after 3 p.m. tomorrow.
