NOTE: The obituary states he died in Covington, KY, but his death certificate states Kenton, KY.

PARIS Ky —
Sergeant Joseph H. Holt of this city ,28 years old, died Saturday night at Booth's Memorial Hospital in Covington of Uraemic poisoning. Mr Holt was the son of Mrs Ben P Holt of this city and had returned about three weeks ago with the troops from the Mexican border being a member of Company C With other members of the Company, he was sent to Fort Thomas and while stationed there was stricken with tbe Illness which resulted in his death.

Besides his mother, Mr. Holt is survlved by three sisters: Mrs Edgar Sanford and Miss Nellie Holt both of Louisville, and Mrs. Rebecca Mullens of Paris: and four brothers W.G. Holt of Paris, Harry O. Holt of Port Arthur, Texas, Edgar Holt of Salt Lake City, and Ben P Holt of Seattle Wash.

The body was brought to Parle Sunday night and taken to the home of his mother on Second Street. The funeral will be held Tuesday after noon at 2: SO o'clock, with services at the grave in the Paris cemetery by the Rev George H Harris. Pallbearers will be Houston Rion, Newton Gay, Joseph Mitchell, Newsum Keller, Ellis Huklll, and John Smldt.
