Besides her husband, she is survived by ten children: Henry Nifong of Melrose, Albert and Ed Nifong of this city, George Nifong of Cambridge, Milton Nifong of Gifford, Mrs. M. Browning and Mrs. Wm. Layfield of Portland, Mrs. Lizzie Murphy of Cambridge, Mrs. Josie Thornton of Elk Head, Ore., and Mrs. A.T. McCarty of Lewiston.
"The arrangements for the funeral swervices are not complete, pending word from relatives, but it is probable that the services will be held Sunday morning from the family home."
The Star-Mirror, Moscow, Idaho, December 21, 1916: "The funeral of Mrs. Mary Nifong, who died suddenly Friday morning, was held Sunday at the Nifong home, seven miles northwest of the city at 12:30. The service was read by the Rev. Mr. W.Z. Cole. Interment took place in the Moscow cemetery."
