Mrs. Judy Fear died very suddenly at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, aged 77 years, 7 months, and 8 days. Deceased was born in Indiana, August 12, 1818; married to William Fear about 1836; and moved to Jasper county. To them were born twelve children, six of whom are living - John, Ben, Wm. and Warren Fear, Mrs. Margaret Burtch, and Mrs. E. Malcom. Her youngest child, Edmond, preceded her to the glory world two years ago, Feb 25. Mrs. Fear joined the Baptist church when about 17 years of age. She was a good motherly woman, loved and respected by all who knew her. Her husband died Jan 14, 1882. Mrs. Fear had been at Mrs. Burtch's. Friday evening she wanted to go to her son John's. She got up Saturday morning as usual, ate her breakfast and about 9 o'clock took a chill and died in a little while. She had 36 grand children, 21 great-grand-children, and one great-great-grand-child.
