Frances "Kay" Adams, age 81, of Miller, Missouri, passed away at 9:54 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at her home. She was born January 2, 1940, in Jingo, Kansas, the daughter of Delbert and Beryle (Graham) Toncray.

Kay was a 1957 graduate of Osawatomie High School, in Osawatomie, Kansas. She was a dietitian for the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon and managed the Miller Christian Center for several years. Kay was a member of the Miller American Legion Auxiliary Post 120, the Lady's Rummy Club, the Summit Baptist Church, and she was a diehard fan of her Kansas City Chiefs.

On March 8, 1958, she married Orvan Lee Adams in Osawatomie, Kansas.

Kay is survived by her husband of 63 years, Orvan; three sons, Jim Adams and his wife, Christa, of Miller, Randy Adams and his fiancée', Debbie Rainwater, of Nixa, Missouri and Ken Adams and his wife, Helen, of Miller; six grandchildren, Eric, Tiffany, Jeff and Trenton Adams, all of Miller, Brittany Adams of Omaha, Nebraska and Nicole Miller and her husband, Nathan, of Rogersville, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren, Logan, Ashlyn, Alyssa, Nate, Delainee, Joslynn and Bennett; one brother, Bernard Toncray and his wife, Midge, of Fontana, Kansas; three sisters, Winona Snider and her husband, Danny, of Paola, Kansas, Flo Hartley and her husband, Edwin, and Susie Miller and her husband, Duaine, all of Fontana, and several nieces and nephews.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Beryle, and three sisters, Maxine, Barbara and Karen.

A visitation, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, will be held from 10:00-12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at the Summit Baptist Church with a graveside service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Summit Cemetery.
