Lemmuel "Lem" Phelps, 83, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at LECOM Senior Living Center. He was born on February 11, 1938 in Erie, Pa., the son of the late Lavere and June E. (Ecker) Phelps.

Lem served in the United States Army during peace time. After serving in the military, Lem was employed by Demarco Trucking as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, dogs, the outdoors, and wildlife.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Phelps, Gene Phelps, and Milo Phelps; sister, Sandra Phelps.

Lem was survived by his children, Brenda, Melinda, Rick, and David; sister, Linda Sellen; and caregiver and close friend, Angie Rose.

Private funeral arrangements are being handled by the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. Private interment will be held at Grahamville Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
