Age 89, of North East, daughter of the late Eugene and Anna Perdue Ecker. She lived most of her life in North East and formerly lived in Ripley.
She was formerly employed as a seamstress in Westfield, NY and was a cook at Kelly’s Hotel in Ripley, NY. She loved crocheting, crossword puzzles, and reading.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by: Her husband Lavern J. Phelps 7-21-76. three sons: Eugene B., Robert V., and Dennis Phelps. A daughter; Susan J. Phelps. three brothers: Richard, George, and Lyle Ecker, four sisters: Erma Ecker, Gertrude Lamb, Eudora Lawson, and Roberta Rotunda.
She is survived by two daughters: Sandra A. Foreman of Sheffield, PA, and Linda M. Sellen and husband Ronald of Hydetown, PA.; two sons: Lemmuel R. Phelps of North East, and Milo R. Phelps of North East; two sisters: Clara Marie Blanchard of Mayville, NY and Sara Todaro and husband Thomas of Jamestown, NY.; two brothers: Harry Ecker Sr. and wife Theresa of Arizona, and Robert Ecker and wife Betty of Arizona; two daughter-in-laws: Susan Phelps of North East, and Lucinda Phelps of Arizona; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
