Edna Katherine McIntire, 89, of Perrysville, died Sunday morning, Oct. 7, 2007, in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville.
Edna was born Sept. 15, 1918, in West Wetzel County, W. Va. She was the daughter of the late Jasper Newton and Mary Rebecca (West) Blake.
She lived in the Lakeville-Loudonville area most of her life.
Edna was a cook for six years for the Lakeville Schools and worked as a housekeeper for Kettering Hospital as well as The College of Wooster, retiring in 1985.
She belonged to Lakeville Booster Club.
Mrs. McIntire is survived by three daughters, Mary Lee Lowe of Perrysville, Karen (Ray) Eckleberry of San Angelo, Texas, and Judy Adams of Wooster; daughter-in-law, Judy McIntire of Lakeville; two sisters, Clarice Huggins and Ethel Thomas, both of New Martinsville, W. Va.; 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel McIntire in 1976 and a son, Troy "Jay" McIntire in 2002.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with Adrian "Bud" Coates officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
