Gloucester - Morris E. Griffin, 75, passed away at Sentara Hampton Care-plex on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sally Griffin.
Morris is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gladys; two daughters, Maxine Griffin and Pamela I. G. Armstead (Strubling); three sisters, Alvera Griffin and Martha Williams, both of Gloucester and Rosie Griffin of Washington, D.C.; three brothers, Collins Griffin of Gloucester, Christopher Griffin of Hampton, Va. and Arthur Griffin of Albany, N.Y.
Friends may visit from 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, at St. Paul Baptist Church, Roanes, Va. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the church with pastor Bradley Holmes as officiant.
