Gerald Wayne Yancey (75) passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was a member of Danville Baptist Church and of Dry Creek Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching baseball.
Services are 2 pm Sunday, August 8, 2021 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Bishop officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Saturday, August 7, 2021 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rienzi Cemetery.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maxine Yancey of Rienzi; his brother, Johnny Richardson (Annette) of Rienzi and his sister, Sarah Eaton (Jimmy) of Rienzi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Clyde Yancey; his brothers, Raymond, Bill, Harold, Jim and Joe Yancey; his sisters, Willard Richardson, Lois Reed, Nell McCoy and Evelyn Thompson and his daughter, Angie Yancey.
Pallbearers are; Tommy Palmer, Tommy Hester, Don Lovell, Denny Richardson and Charles Eaton.
