Born in Mount Zion, West Virginia, Mr. Starcher lived in Barberton for 30 years, before moving to Wadsworth in 1964. During his years in Barberton, he was a streetcar conductor for Akron Transportation Co. When they switched to buses, he became a bus driver.
He leaves daughters, Mrs. Belva Turner of Barberton, Mrs. Elma Chambler of Ullin, IL and Mrs. Helen Wheeler of Wadsworth; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mrs. Mae Miller and Mrs. Florence Ewing, both of Clarksburg, WV.
Funeral in Campfield-Hickman Funeral Home with funeral services on Tuesday 1 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
